Your profile
Changing your name, your email address, the language of your back office and your password — and what to do if you have forgotten your password.
Your profile is about you, not about your organisation: your name, the address you sign in with, the language in which you see the back office, and your password. Every staff member has a profile of their own and changes it themselves.
Opening your profile
Click the circle with your initials at the top right. A menu opens with three choices:
| Choice | What it does |
|---|---|
| Profile | Opens your profile |
| Guide | Opens this guide in a new tab |
| Sign out | Signs you out on this device |
Click Profile.
What you can change
| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| Name | How your colleagues see you, for example in the staff list and with the till sessions you opened |
| Email address | The address you sign in with, in the back office and in the scan app |
| Language | The language of the back office, just for you |
| New password | Leave empty if you do not want to change your password |
Then click Save changes. You see the notification Saved. With Cancel you go back without saving anything.
Your language
The language you choose here applies straight away, and Passavo remembers it for next time, on every device. It only concerns the back office: your shop, your tickets and your emails follow your visitor's language.
You can also switch quickly at the top right, with the language picker next to the circle with your initials. That choice is saved on your profile too. More about languages in Languages.
Changing your password
- Type a new password under New password. It must be at least eight characters long.
- Two extra fields appear. Type the new password once more under Confirm new password.
- Under Current password, type the password you have been using until now. That way nobody who sits down at your computer for a moment can change your password.
- Click Save changes.
Your new password applies straight away, in the scan app too.
Changing your email address
Change the address. The Current password field appears; fill it in and click Save changes. From then on you sign in with the new address. You cannot choose an address that already belongs to another user.
Forgot your password?
On the sign-in screen, click Forgot password?, fill in your email address and follow the link in the email you receive. There you choose a new password.
What you do not arrange here
- Your role (what you are allowed to do) is changed by an owner under Settings → Staff. See Staff and roles.
- Your organisation's details — name, address, house style — are under Settings → Organisation. See Setting up your organisation.
Frequently asked questions
Can my colleagues see my password? No. Nobody can read it, not even us. That is why there is only a button to choose a new one.
I work for two organisations. Do I have two profiles then? No. You have one profile, with one name, one address and one password. Your role can differ per organisation, though.
Can I delete my account here? No. Ask the owner of your organisation to remove you under Staff.
